Getting a diagnosis of COVID-19 can cause some uneasy feelings, but the good news is most people experience mild illness and can recover at home without medical care.
If your COVID symptoms are mild and you are able to recover at home without seeking medical care, it is important to still notify your primary care physician about your diagnosis. Your PCP may recommend over-the-counter medications to manage your symptoms, vitamins or supplements and at-home monitoring of your vitals.

These medications are being distributed by federal and state governments to a select number of retail pharmacies. There is a limited supply of these drugs. Sotrovimab, a monoclonal antibody therapy, is available under FDA emergency use authorization for the treatment of COVID. It is administered by Banner Health at select locations and requires a physician referral.
There is limited supply of this drug. Your provider will evaluate your medical history to determine if you are eligible to receive COVID monoclonal antibody. However, based on very limited supplies, not all eligible patients may receive treatment.
COVID monoclonal antibodies are protective proteins that may help the body clear the virus faster and reduce symptoms when given soon after diagnosis. Banner Health is currently providing these treatments based on a referral from your regular healthcare provider or an urgent care provider. Your provider will send a referral to the Outpatient Infusion Center. Once the referral is received, someone from the Outpatient Infusion Center will contact you to review your order and schedule your infusion appointment. Outpatient Infusion Centers are available seven days per week but may have limited availability on weekends.
