Where can I get tested?

We understand your level of concern when it comes to COVID-19. You may be wondering if – based on your exposure or symptoms – you might qualify for testing. We are here to answer your questions and help guide you through this process.

Please keep in mind a Banner Health team member will determine if you need to be tested. Healthy individuals do not require testing. In addition, appointments are limited, and we may prioritize others who are at higher risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

What is COVID-19?

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness that is transmitted through droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Getting sick from these droplets requires proximity to an infected person, or touching a surface that might have a droplet, then touching your mouth, nose and possibly eyes.

What is the Arizona Crisis Standards of Care Plan and how will this change health care delivery in Arizona?

Our top priority is the safety of our patients and team members.

The Arizona Department of Health Services recently activated the Arizona Crisis Standards of Care Plan. This plan gives Banner and all health systems within the state the ability to provide care in a different way due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and gives us the flexibility we need to care for you.

The State plan includes theCOVID-19 Addendum: Allocation of Scarce Resources. This addendum gives guidelines to health systems about how to distribute resources if they run short. This addendum is sometimes called a “triage guide” and is only used if/when resources are not enough. All the hospitals and health systems in Arizona have agreed to work together so that important, life-saving resources do not have to be triaged. If that changes, hospitals and health systems will notify Arizonans.

All patients, regardless of resource availability, will be treated with respect, care and compassion. We will continue to save as many lives as possible.
