What is the Direct Trust Email Exchange?
The demand of electronic health information exchange within the health care setting is rapidly growing. Direct Trust email exchange with Banner Health allows healthcare professionals outside of the organization to receive patient health information from our acute facilities safely and securely upon discharge.
Nationwide several innovative efforts continue to be made in leveraging electronic health information sharing to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of health care delivery. Promoting Interoperability (formerly knowns as Meaningful Use) and the MACRA (The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act) law, further supports this initiative by providing payment approaches that emphasize care coordination and federal financial incentives driving the interest, and demand for health information exchange technology.
How can I Participate?
If you are interested in participating, pleasecontact usand we will send you a form to complete. All elements of the form must be completed, in addition to having an existing Direct Trust email address that may be shared. If you do not have a Direct Trust email address, please reach out to your organization’s vendor to discover the proper steps to obtain this great functionality.
