Margo Karsten is the chief executive officer for Banner Health in Northern Colorado and president of Banner Health’s Western Region.
She provides overall leadership for North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Banner Fort Collins Medical Center in Fort Collins, as well as area off-site facilities operated by the hospitals. As president of the Western Region, she oversees 11 acute and critical access hospitals in six states.
Over the last 20 years, she has also held leadership roles at hospital in Colorado and Wyoming.
She is active in many community boards which include : North Colorado Economic Alliance, Weld County United Way, Greeley Chamber of Commerce , Colorado chapter Alzheimer’s Association and the Colorado Hospital Association.
Margo has a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in nursing administration, and a doctorate in organizational development.
She has two grown sons and a daughter, all three of which keep her balanced in life.
